NHL Rumors: Ducks To Trade Veteran Forward
With the Anaheim Ducks still being major sellers, it will not be surprising to see them part ways with more of their veterans this summer. One player who is a prime trading candidate because of this is Derek Grant.
Grant is about to enter the final season of his contract and carries an affordable $1.5 million cap hit. At this juncture, this trade value is likely at its highest, as he just put together one of the best years of his career. In 71 games this season, he sets new career-highs with 15 goals, 14 assists, and 29 points. Naturally, having this kind of production from a bottom-six forward would be nice for any team. Thus, don't be surprised to see him get interest around the league.
Alas, it will be intriguing to see if Grant has a new home for the start of the 2022-23 season.
