NHL Rumors: Senators To Trade Forward

Before the trade deadline officially passed, the Ottawa Senators reportedly came close to moving Colin White to the Montreal Canadiens. Although the deal did not get finalized, the team is expected to shop him yet again this summer. 

White was limited to just 24 games this season, where he had three goals and seven assists. Yet, the 25-year-old playing at all should be viewed as a win, as it was once believed that he would miss the whole campaign due to shoulder surgery. However, he was able to return and had some solid moments in the process. 

Perhaps the Canadiens and Senators could explore a deal centering around White this offseason. Maybe other teams could enter the sweepstakes as well. Yet, at the end of the day, don't be surprised to see Ottawa move him if the right deal presents itself.
