Penguins Sidney Crosby Injured in Game 5 vs. Rangers
The Pittsburgh Penguins and their fan base are collectively holding their breath. Captain Sidney Crosby left Game 5 against the New York Rangers in the second period and he did not return.
It's hard to say exactly what the injury is at this point because none of us are doctors but from the looks of it, the injury could be related to a concussion. Crosby collided with Rangers defenseman Jacob Trouba and only played one shift after before leaving the game.
The Penguins confirmed Crosby is still being evaluated at this point and head coach Mike Sullivan is pissed off over the hit as he was not a fan at all. Especially too because the fact Crosby has dealt with a slew of head injuries throughout his career.
The Rangers used the hit as momentum and after being down 2-0, won Game 5 5-3, closing the Penguins series lead to 3-2. Here's the hit, you be the judge, clean or dirty?
