Stars Sign Forward
The Dallas Stars have signed Fredrik Olofsson to a one-year, $750,000 contract.
Olofsson has spent each of the last three seasons back home in Sweden. After recording 34 points in 51 games during the 2020-21 campaign, he scored 15 goals and had 27 assists in 49 games. Thus, he is coming off of back-to-back strong years and will now be hoping to bring that kind of play over to North America.
Olofsson was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks with the 98th overall pick of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. After finishing a four-year college career with the University of Nebraska-Omaha, he suited up in two games for the Rockford IceHogs back in 2018-19. That is where his experience ends in North America, but he will now have the chance to build on it with the Stars.
