Video: Blues Coach in Hot Water Over "No Comment" on Nazem Kadri Situation
St Louis Blues head coach Craig Berube is in hot water on Tuesday after he decided against commenting when asked about Colorado Avalanche forward Nazem Kadri. Many in the media feel it was the perfect time for Berube to address the hateful and racist messages that Kadri has been receiving from Blues fans and instead, he copped out.
Here's the exchange from Game 4's post game media availability, as Berube should have totally made a stand when the cameras were rolling:
The more I watch this, the more disturbed I am that Berube went the no comment route. It’s not that hard to say, “I don’t like what he did to our goalie but I’m disgusted by what people have said to him and it doesn’t reflect on our organization or our city.” https://t.co/AJV7HFu0Bh

It was actually the biggest PR layup out there. Racism = bad. Wishing death on players = bad. Saying it doesn’t diminish what your sports team is trying to accomplish. No commenting it? Garbage.

No question. Craig Berube saying nothing about members of their fan base indulging in vile and racist behavior is deplorable. Might wanna speak up https://t.co/vaTa27lrXD
