Video: Capitals' Oshie Delivers Ugly Head Shot to Panthers' Bennett
Washington Capitals forward T.J Oshie isn't considered a dirty player by any means but this play certainly towed the line. The Caps winger was flying through the neutral zone in Game 4 vs. the Florida Panthers and delivered an ugly hit to the head of Panthers forward Sam Bennett.
Not only did Oshie make direct contact with the side of Bennett's head, it was a tie game in the third period and all the Caps did after was go down and score to make it 2-1 at the time. The Panthers made sure to get the ultimate pay back with their overtime winner to even the series at two games a piece.
As for Oshie, he was not penalized on the play and the NHL Twitter world was split down the middle on what should have been called. Some feel - 'it's the Stanley Cup Playoffs, let them play', while others think it was dirty and uncalled for and shouldn't be in the game.
