Blue Jackets Forward Signs Contract Extension
The Columbus Blue Jackets are staying busy, as they have signed Brendan Gaunce to a two-year, two-way contract.
Gaunce got into his first NHL action since the 2019-20 season this campaign with the Blue Jackets. In 30 games with Columbus, he scored five goals and recorded seven total points. Now, he will be aiming to get into more action with the NHL squad from here.
Overall, it isn't a bad idea for the Blue Jackets to keep Gaunce around. He has proven to be a solid depth forward when called upon and expect him to be once again in 2022-23.
