Blue Jackets Sign Center To Two-Year Extension

The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed hometown centre Jack Roslovic to a 2-year, $4M contract extension, averting his pending restricted free agency.

The promising 25-year-old set personal highs in every major category, in only 14:17 minutes of ice time. He finished with 22 goals, 23 assists and 45 points, as well as four game-winning goals and 10 multi-point games.

Roslovic, born in Columbus, came to the Blue Jackets along with Patrick Laine in the Pierre-Luc Dubois trade two years ago.

"Jack is an offensively gifted player with great speed and vision who has increased his production each season during his NHL career," said GM Jarmo Kekalainen. "He has made great strides in his all-around game, especially during this past season, and we are very pleased that he will continue to be an important part of our team as we move forward."

A good start to the offseason for the Blue Jackets.
