Bruins Defenseman Done In Boston
The Boston Bruins have lost one of their depth defensemen, as Tyler Lewington has signed a one-year contract with EC Salzburg.
Lewington appeared in two games for the Boston Bruins this season, where he recorded seven penalty minutes. He of course primarily spent the season in Providence, however. In 55 games with the AHL squad, he had two goals, seven assists, and 66 penalty minutes.
Lewington has spent almost all of his career in the AHL, as he has just 12 games of NHL experience. Thus, it makes sense that the 27-year-old is taking his chances overseas in Austria.
