Bruins Sign Defenseman
The Boston Bruins are continuing their busy week, as they now have signed Kai Wissmann to a one-year, entry-level contract.
Wissmann is a 6-foot-4 right-handed defenseman who has spent each of the last seven seasons with the Berlin Polar Bears of the DEL. He just put together the best campaign of his career, however, as he set new career-highs with four goals, 16 assists, and 20 points in 55 games. Now, the 25-year-old will be aiming to translate that kind of play to North America.
With Charlie McAvoy and Matt Grzelcyk set to miss the beginning of the 2022-23 season, it makes sense that the Bruins have added a potential depth defenseman in Wissmann. Let's see if he can make the NHL roster from here.
