Canucks Sign Top Russian Free Agent
The Vancouver Canucks have signed the coveted free agent, Andrei Kuzmenko.
The undrafted twenty-six year old has played all eight seasons of his pro career in the KHL, appearing in his first four for CSKA Moscow, and the last four for St. Petersburg SKA.
The highly sought after free agent had drawn plenty of interest from NHL teams in the past months, and had narrowed down his list to four NHL teams, before signing with the Vancouver Canucks today.

Kuzmenko had a fantastic season in 2021-22, putting up 20 goals and 33 assists, for a total of 53 points in 45 games. All career highs. In sixteen games played in the playoffs, the Russian forward had seven goals and seven assists, for 14 points.
The talented Russian forward will provide great depth and additional scoring for the Vancouver Canucks. The team missed the playoffs for the second straight season, finishing with an overall record of 40-30-12 record.
It's been a good week for Vancouver.
