Coyotes Sign Defenseman
The Arizona Coyotes have signed Ronald Knot to a one-year, two-way contract. At the NHL level, he will carry a $750,000 cap hit.
Knot will be a very intriguing player to keep an eye on next season. The 27-year-old defenseman put together a strong career overseas in the Czech Republic. He made the switch to the KHL for the 2021-22 season playing for Nizhnekamsk Neftekhimik, where he scored four goals and recorded 17 points in 49 games.
With this signing, the Coyotes have at least added to their defensive depth. However, when looking at how weak their NHL roster is, perhaps this could lead to Knot getting a chance in their top six next year.
