Detroit Red Wings Sign World Championship MVP
The Detroit Red Wings have signed thirty-one year old Jussi Olkinuora to a one-year/two-way contract. The goalie will be making $750k in the deal. The Finnish goaltender played last season with Metallurg Magnitogorsk of the KHL, posting a 2.45 GAA and .917 SV%.

Olkinuora won gold with Finland at the IIHF World Championships last month, and was fantastic, earning the tournament MVP for recording eight wins, four shutouts, .948 save percentage, and a 1.11 GAA, in ten games.

The Red Wings are in need of a backup goaltender, and the Finnish netminder will have a chance to earn that spot this upcoming season.
