Kraken Goaltender Out Long Term
Seattle Kraken goaltender Chris Driedger had surgery to repair a torn ACL. Due to this, he is expected to be sidelined for the next seven to nine months.
With this development, Driedger won't be back until at least January 2023. However, if recovery is a slow one, he could be out until March. If the latter occurs, he will almost the entirety of the 2022-23 season. That certainly would not be good news for both him and the Kraken.
After an excellent 2020-21 season with the Florida Panthers, Driedger cooled off a bit in his first year with the Kraken. In 27 games, he had a 9-14-1 record, 2.96 GAA, and .899 SV%. Now, with this news, he is going to have to wait a long time before having the chance to bounce back. Alas, here's to hoping the 28-year-old has a speedy recovery.
