Lightning Sign Forward To Extension
The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed Simon Ryfors to a one-way, two-contract extension.
Ryfors just completed his first season in North America with the Syracuse Crunch. In 72 games with the AHL squad, he scored 11 goals and recorded 35 points. Yet, there's reason to believe that he could produce more in 2022-23, as he had an impressive 25 goals and 45 points in 51 SHL games the season before.
If Ryfors impresses at training camp, perhaps we could see him join the Lightning next season. If not, there's nothing wrong with keeping him around for extra depth.
