NHL Rumors: Blues Forward Could Be Shopped

According to Eric Duhatschek, the Blues could take advantage of Ivan Barbashev's increased trade value and move him this summer.

Barbashev had a breakout campaign in 2021-22, as he set new career-highs with 26 goals, 34 assists, and 60 points. Yet, he cooled off immensely during the postseason, as he had just two assists and a minus-6 rating in 12 games. With Barbashev about to enter the final year of his deal, it could make sense for St. Louis to trade while his value is higher.

It will be intriguing to see what the Blues end up doing with Barbashev from here. There's no question that teams will be calling St. Louis about him.
