NHL Rumors: Blues Trying To Re-Sign Goalie

According to Andy Strickland, the St. Louis Blues will "make a real effort" to re-sign pending UFA Ville Husso. 

Husso is set to land himself a notable raise - whether that's with the Blues or from another team. The 27-year-old had a breakout year and is now viewed as one of the top UFA goalies because of it. In 40 games this campaign, he sported a 25-7-6 record, 2.56 GAA, and .919 SV%.

Strickland also noted that Husso's strong relationship with Jordan Binnington could help the Blues' chances of re-signing him. Yet, one wouldn't blame Husso if he elects to test the market. The Finnish netminder would likely get himself a bigger contract through that route.
