NHL Rumors: Bruins Linked To Penguins Center

According to The Fourth Period, the Bruins could pursue Evgeni Malkin if the future Hall of Famer does not re-sign with the Penguins.

At this juncture, Malkin's future with the Penguins is in jeopardy, as agents around the league believe it's unlikely that he will return. With the Bruins needing to upgrade at the center position, Malkin could be a big target for them if he becomes a UFA.

The Bruins would need to clear up cap space to have any chance of landing Malkin this summer. Time will tell if they enter the sweepstakes, but boy, would he be an upgrade to their second line.
