NHL Rumors: Canucks Linked To Hurricanes Defenseman

According to Rick Dhaliwal, the Vancouver Canucks have been in contact with Ethan Bear's agent.

The Hurricanes gave Bear permission to speak with other teams, and the Canucks are the first club to officially be linked to him. Yet, it's also important to note that Dhaliwal reported that talks are too early to determine if things will go anywhere between the young defenseman and Vancouver.

Bear is viewed as having a good amount of potential, but there just wasn't a fit for him in Carolina as the year progressed. In 58 regular-season games, he scored five goals and recorded 14 assists. Let's see if he ends up being a Canuck in 2022-23.
