NHL Rumors: Flyers Have 4 Coaches On Their Radar

The Philadelphia Flyers are busy on the coaching grapevine looking for the next bench boss to lead them into the future. Latest sources from Frank Seravalli are indicating that they've talked with these 4 candidates:

John Tortorella, David Quinn, Jeff Blashill and Bruce Cassidy.

Quinn is the former coach of the New York Rangers as well as holding down the gig for the U.S. Men's National Team. Quinn had a 96-87-25 record with the Rangers, after a notable college career coaching Boston University.

Blashill, who was recently let go by the Detroit Red Wings, has also interviewed with the Flyers, as has two-time Jack Adams Award winner John Tortorella. Reports indicate that Torts is already in line for a second interview.

Cassidy, of course, is a late entrant to the coaching derby, as he was just let go by the Boston Bruins earlier this week after six years.

The Flyers are coming off a last-place finish in the Metropolitan Division, leaving the new man behind the bench to build something from the bottom up.
