NHL Rumors: Hurricanes Defenseman To Be Moved

According to Frank Seravalli, the Carolina Hurricanes could end up trading Ethan Bear this offseason.

Truthfully, it wouldn't be all that surprising to see Bear moved. As the season progressed, he was utilized less often, and he did not play a single playoff game. Seravalli also notes in his piece that "there are questions lingering about Bear's fitness and maturity," so perhaps that also could be a reasoning behind a potential move.

Yet, Bear is still viewed as having a solid amount of potential, so there likely would be a market for him. In 58 games this season, the 24-year-old defenseman scored five goals and recorded 14 points. It will be intriguing to see what ends up happening with the Regina native from here.
