NHL Rumors: Kraken Defenseman Gaining Trade Interest

According to Frank Seravalli, the Seattle Kraken could end up trading Carson Soucy this summer.

Soucy is entering the final year of his contract and quietly put together a strong 2021-22 season. In 64 games, he scored an impressive 10 goals and recorded 21 points. With the Kraken not looking like a playoff team, they could look to move the 27-year-old defenseman while his trade value is at its highest.

The Kraken will likely aim to sign Soucy to an extension before they officially shop him, but if he is unwilling to ink a new deal with them, expect to see a trade shortly. Time will tell what happens from here but several teams will be calling Seattle about his availability.
