NHL Rumors: Penguins Looking To Move Defenseman
The Penguins have to re-sign players like Kris Letang and Evgeni Malkin but also have limited cap space. As a result of this, one player who could be on the move is Marcus Pettersson.
Pettersson's name came up in the rumor mill before this season's trade deadline, but a move did not come to fruition. However, his $4,025,175 cap hit until the 2024-25 season would be big for the Penguins to trade away. This is especially true with his role being lowered.
In 72 games this past season, Pettersson scored two goals and recorded 19 points.
