NHL Rumors: Sabres To Target Cheaper Goaltenders
According to Lance Lysowski, the Buffalo Sabres are expected to target backup goaltender options through the free-agent market. Lysowki also views Casey DeSmith, Kevin Lankinen, and Eric Comrie as potential fits.
Lysowski noted that many of the best free-agent goaltenders aren't going to view the Sabres as an ideal landing spot for them. Thus, it ultimately makes sense for Buffalo to look at some backup options available.
The Sabres are heading into the offseason with questions in net, as Craig Anderson, Dustin Tokarski, Malcolm Subban, and Aaron Dell are all set to become UFAs themselves. Thus, they are in a position where they can completely change up their goaltending tandem. Let's see who they end up signing from here.
