NHL Rumors: Teams Calling Hurricanes About Forward

According to Pierre LeBrun, teams are calling the Carolina Hurricanes about Martin Necas.

Necas is in a peculiar spot with the Hurricanes, as his role has been lowered due to the emergence of Seth Jarvis. Offensively, it was a down year for the 23-year-old, as he had 40 points in 78 games. Keep in mind, he just had a 41-point campaign in 53 games the season before.

LeBrun also noted that the Hurricanes are not in any rush to move Necas but could be open to the idea if it landed them a young defenseman. This is something that we will have to keep a close eye on as the offseason truly gets underway.
