NHL Rumors: Wild And Goaltender Haven’t Started Extension Talks
According to Darren Dreger, the Minnesota Wild want to re-sign Marc-Andre Fleury, but they haven't started extension talks yet.
Fleury was acquired by the Wild before the trade deadline passed from the Chicago Blackhawks. In 11 regular-season games following the move, he sported a 9-2-0 record and .910 SV%. Although he had his struggles in the postseason, it is understandable that Minnesota wants to keep him around when looking at his Hall of Fame Fame-worthy resume.
Financially, the Wild will have to get creative to bring Fleury back. Due to this, a return is not a guarantee, but time will tell if he remains with the Wild for the 2022-23 campaign.
