Panthers Have A New Head Coach
The Florida Panthers are hiring Paul Maurice as their next head coach.
According to Darren Dreger, the Panthers are expected to announce soon that Maurice will be the team's 18th head coach in franchise history.

The news comes after weeks of coaching interviews by the Florida Panthers, with names like Barry Trotz, Rick Tocchett and Pete DeBoer being considered for the job.
Paul Maurice, a veteran of 24 NHL seasons as head coach, holds a career 775-681-99 record in the NHL. In nine playoff appearances as a head coach, Maurice holds a .446 winning percentage with a 41-51 record.
Andrew Brunette, who Maurice is replacing, is expected to be offered a role with the team if he wishes to remain, according to Frank Seravalli.
