In 35 games for the Wild this past season, Dewar scored just two goals and recorded four assists. In the minors for the Iowa Wild however, the twenty-two year old put up 17 points in 19 games.
Dewar is a solid defensive forward who will probably see most of his playing time on the fourth line and penalty kill, as Minnesota continues to try and add more depth to their roster.
Just a reminder, even though his sample size was small, Connor Dewar flashed elite defensive suppression metrics in a 4th line role - we’re talking JEEK/Moose type numbers here. #mnwild would be wise to make him a full-time player this year with extended time on the PK. https://t.co/DMO9P9HT5z pic.twitter.com/xlrNWOLhkE
