Aube-Kubel had a solid season this past year, scoring 11 goals and 11 assists in 67 games played. He also posted a very good plus/minus rating of 14.
For his NHL career, Aube-Kubel has 21 goals, 29 assists, and 50 points in 169 games.
The twenty-six year old is a solid bottom-six forward, with good forechecking ability as well as defensive awareness. He will be a nice cheap piece for a team looking for some extra depth this offseason.
Nicolas Aube-Kubel was primarily utilized as a 4th-line winger against middling competition with fairly average EV performance, mainly weighed down by his negative penalty differential. His microstats indicate that he would be a great bottom-sixer under RBA's system. https://t.co/0ymkgZajet pic.twitter.com/R3oJ2LcawV

Aube-Kubel gained some extra media attention a few weeks ago after he humoursly tripped and fell while skating with the cup, causing it to be dented.
