Avalanche Re-Sign Defenseman
The Avalanche have signed Josh Manson to a four-year contract extension. He will carry a $4.5 million cap hit.
There were rumblings that a reunion with the Ducks was in order for Manson, but he has instead elected to stay with the reigning Stanley Cup champs. Avalanche fans should be ecstatic about this, as Manson was an excellent addition for them. Now, he is more than a rental for them and should continue to be a strong part of their top-four.
In 67 games this season, Manson scored six goals and had 16 points. He also recorded eight points in 20 playoff games for the Avs. It will be intriguing to see how he performs for the club moving forward. Overall, it's hard to hate this signing.
