Avalanche Re-Sign Forward
The Avalanche have re-signed Cal Burke to a one-year, two-way NHL contract. At the NHL level, he will carry a $750,000 cap hit.
Burke just completed his second professional season with the Colorado Eagles. In 57 games with the AHL club, he scored 12 goals and recorded 26 points. Heading into 2022-23, he will be hoping to make his NHL debut with the Avalanche.
The Avalanche's roster has gone through some changes, so that could open the door to Burke receiving a call-up this upcoming season. At worst, he will continue to be a solid depth option for Colorado from here.
