Blackhawks Buy Out Forward
Henrik Borgstrom's time with the Blackhawks is over, as the team are buying him out.
Expecting news that #Blackhawks will be buying out 24 y/o F Henrik Borgstrom (in final year of 1M cap hit with 1.1M Salary).

Buyout Cap hit:
Yr 1 83K
Yr 2 183K
Would have carried no cap hit if sent to minors. Saves 733K cash https://t.co/hadESyo5F5 pic.twitter.com/Gh1yF1gZcJ
The Blackhawks are continuing to decimate their roster with this move. However, it also isn't a particularly surprising one, as Borgstrom was in the rumor mill all season. Yet, nobody bit on him, and now the 2016 first-round pick.
Borgstrom's lone season with the Blackhawks wasn't particularly impressive, either. In 52 games, he had just four goals and seven points. Perhaps a change of scenery could help the 24-year-old get back on track. Yet, if teams do not express interest in him as a UFA after his rough campaign, don't be surprised to see him head back overseas.
