Blackhawks Buy Out Veteran Winger
The Blackhawks are set to make their second buy-out of the day, as Brett Connolly is being let go by the club.
As noted earlier, Borgstrom is being bought out by #Blackhawks. They're also buying out Connolly (1 year left at $3.5M Cap Hit & Salary).

Much like with Henrik Borgstrom, this decision isn't too surprising. Connolly's $3.5 million cap hit is rather expensive, and that is especially true when noting that he spent the majority of this season in the AHL. In nine games with the Blackhawks this year, he had just one assist. Yet, he was very effective with the IceHogs, as he recorded 35 points in 37 contests.
Connolly could be a player worth signing to a league-minimum contract. He comes with a decent amount of experience and is only two years removed from a 33-point campaign in 69 games. It will be intriguing to see where he ends up next season, but it certainly will not be with the Blackhawks.
