Blue Jackets Sign Johnny Gaudreau To Massive Deal

The Blue Jackets have come out of nowhere and won the Johnny Gaudreau sweepstakes, signing him to a seven-year, $68.25 million contract.

Rumors had Gaudreau heading to the Flyers, Devils, or Islanders, but somehow the Blue Jackets have managed to sign Johnny Hockey. Not many people would have predicted that Gaudreau would move on from Calgary to play in Columbus, but alas, the 28-year-old has done just that.

The Blue Jackets will now be sporting one of the game's top wingers, so they will be a team to watch in 2022-23. Here's to hoping Johnny Hockey puts together a strong tenure as a Blue Jacket.
