Bruins Re-Sign Defenseman
The Bruins have re-signed Jack Ahcan to a one-year, two-way contract. At the NHL level, he will carry a $750,000 cap hit.
Ahcan played in six games for Boston this season, where he had a goal and a minus-3 rating. The 25-year-old is aiming to cement himself as a full-time NHL player. When it comes to this season, he has the potential to receive more playing time with the NHL squad, as Charlie McAvoy and Matt Grzelcyk will be missing the beginning of the year.
At worst, the Bruins are keeping a decent depth defenseman around in Ahcan. Let's see how the Minnesota native performs in 2022-23.
