Canadiens Re-Sign Forward
The Canadiens have signed Michael Pezzetta to a one-year, $750,000 contract.
Pezzetta cemented himself a spot on the Canadiens' NHL roster this campaign. Overall, he was a rare bright spot during their disastrous 2021-22 season, so it makes sense that he has now landed himself a one-way contract.
Pezzetta worked quite well as the team's agitator and provided some offense along the way. In 51 games, he scored five goals and recorded 11 points. With that, he had a notable 81 penalty minutes to go along with 156 hits. Overall, with stats like these, he should continue to be a solid bottom-six forward for Montreal in 2022-23.
