Canucks Goalie Finished In Vancouver
Although Michael DiPietro recently re-signed with the Canucks, his time with the team is coming to a close. According to Rick Dhaliwal, the 23-year-old goaltender has been given permission to talk to other teams to help find a new home.
DiPietro has fallen in the Canucks' goaltending depth chart, so it makes sense that the 2017 third-round pick wants to play elsewhere. At this juncture, it's hard for him to get into NHL action, so a change of scenery would be beneficial to him.
DiPietro has three NHL games on his resume thus far, where he sports a 0-2-0 record, .771 SV%, and 5.25 GAA. In 34 games this campaign with the Abbotsford Canucks, he had a 2.95 GAA and .901 SV%.
