Colorado Avalanche Re-Sign Defenseman
The Colorado Avalanche have re-signed Keaton Middleton to a one-year, two-way contract extension. At the NHL level, he will carry a $750,000 cap hit.
Middleton spent the entirety of this past season with the Colorado Eagles. In 49 games, he scored two goals and recorded 11 points. The 6-foot-6 defenseman also racked up 76 penalty minutes, so it's fair to say that he was quite active in the physical side of the game.
Middleton will continue to be a solid depth defenseman for the Avalanche. He will be hoping to receive a chance at the NHL level this season, but don't be surprised if he continues to play with the Eagles at the start of the campaign.
