Columbus Blue Jackets Sign 2 Players To PTOs
The Blue Jackets have signed Owen Sillinger and Olivier LeBlanc to professional tryout contracts.
Sillinger is a very intriguing signing to see, as he is the brother of Blue Jackets forward Cole Sillinger. Owen will be aiming to impress at training camp in hopes of playing with Cole this upcoming season. After completing his collegiate career with Bemidji State University this past season, he spent time with the Cleveland Monsters. In 17 games with the AHL squad, he scored three goals and had nine points.
LeBlanc, on the other hand, is a 26-year-old defenseman who spent time with the Monsters this past season, too. In 16 games with the squad, he recorded an assist and had four penalty minutes.
