Flames Bring Back Defenseman
The Flames have kept one of their UFAs around, as Nikita Zadorov has signed a two-year contract with the team. He will have an AAV of $3.75 million.
After losing Johnny Gaudreau and Erik Gudbranson both to the Blue Jackets, it's nice to see that the Flames have managed to keep Zadorov around. The 27-year-old turned out to be a solid addition to the Flames last season, so his return will be appreciated.
In 74 games this past season, Zadorov scored four goals and had a career-high 22 points. If he can keep this kind of play up, this will end up being a good contract for Calgary moving forward.
