Flames Sign Forward
The Flames have signed Ben Jones to a one-year, two-way contract. At the NHL level, he will carry a $750,000 cap hit.
Jones appeared in his first two NHL games this past season with the Golden Knights, where he failed to get on the scoresheet. With the Henderson Silver Knights, he set new AHL career-highs with 25 goals, 16 assists, and 41 points. Thus, he is now heading to Calgary with momentum and will be hoping to fight for a spot in their bottom six.
Jones is also known for being a very physical player, as his 74 penalty minutes this past year shows effectively. We will have to wait and see if he can make the NHL roster from here.
