Scott was an unrestricted free agent this summer after not receiving a qualifying offer from the Maple Leafs.
He was a 4th-round draft pick of the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, and last played a full season in 2018-19. In that season with the Prince Albert Raiders of the WHL, Scott recorded a .932 save percentage and 1.83 goals against average in 49 games played.
Really sad news for Ian Scott. Wish him all the best in whatever comes next for him.
