Jets Sign Defenseman
The Jets are continuing to add to their depth, as they now have signed Ashton Sautner to a one-year, two-way contract.
Sautner hasn't played in the NHL since the 2019-20 season as a member of the Canucks, but he will now be aiming to change that with Winnipeg. In 23 career NHL games over three seasons, he has three assists and a plus-2 rating.
Sautner spent the entirety of this campaign with the Abbotsford Canucks. In 41 games, he had three goals to go along with 13 points. Sautner is expected to be joining the Manitoba Moose from here, but if he impresses at camp, maybe the Jets will give him a shot in the NHL immediately.
