Jets Sign Forward
The Jets have signed Saku Maenalanen to a one-year, two-way contract. At the NHL level, he will carry a $750,000 cap hit.
Maenalanen spent the last three seasons with Jokerit, but the 6-foot-4 forward is now ready to move on to the KHL. The 28-year-old is returning to North America for the first time since the 2018-19 season with this decision. In his lone season with the Hurricanes, he scored four goals and had eight points.
Maenalanen will be pushing for a spot in Winnipeg's bottom six for this upcoming. At a minimum, Winnipeg has added to their forward depth with this signing.
