Lightning Re-Sign Goaltender
The Lightning have re-signed Maxime Lagace to a one-year, two-way contract. At the NHL level, he will carry a $750,00 cap hit.
With this move, the Lightning will be keeping Lagace as a potential call-up option in net when injuries arise. He appeared in a game for Tampa this campaign, where he allowed 10 goals on 58 shots. It wasn't a game to remember for the 29-year-old, but he will be hoping to have a chance to redeem himself this year.
Lagace's strong season with the Crunch is why they are keeping him around, though. In 36 games with the AHL squad, he had a 23-9-2 record, 2.31 GAA, and .910 SV%. Let's see if he can hav another year like that for the Crunch from here.
