Lightning Sign Defenseman
The Lightning have signed Haydn Fleury to a two-year contract. He will have an average annual value of $762,500.
Fleury will provide the Lightning with more depth on their blue line. The 2014 first-round pick played in 36 games for the Kraken this past season, where he scored two goals and had four points. Now, he will be aiming to earn himself a full-time role with the Lightning from here.
Overall, there's nothing wrong with this kind of signing. Fleury can work well as the seventh defenseman at a minimum.
