NHL Rumors: Blackhawks & Stars Linked to Massive Trade
The Chicago Blackhawks are a mess and Patrick Kane likely wants to have no part of it this season. Management has gone ahead with their total rebuild and now Kane and fellow veteran Jonathan Toews sit and wonder what's next. While we've recently highlighted three teams Toews could be shipped to, it sounds like Kane has a few interested teams as well.
Hearing the Blackhawks have been engaged in trade discussions with teams about Patrick Kane. Dallas among the teams most recently interested.

David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period mentioned the Stars are very interested. We do know the Stars are looking for a left-winger for Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn's line. However, a few Blackhawks reporters were quick to shut down the rumblings on Friday.
Per a source, the Blackhawks have had NO trade discussions with any teams involving Patrick Kane. I'm sure plenty of teams are interested and sniffing around, but nothing is happening.

I’ve been told the latest Blackhawks / Patrick Kane rumor floating around today is not accurate at all.

Here's what we do know. Kane wants out but the Blackhawks don't appear in a rush to move him and would prefer to see how the beginning of the season shapes up with some of their new signings. If Kane and Toews can increase their trade value before the deadline, that's a win for general manager Kyle Davidson. Both players have commented, saying they want no part of the rebuild and have openly questioned a few of the trades the team has made.
Kane and Toews both have one season left on their contracts, paying them $10.5 million. They hold no-movement clauses and will have full control on any trade. Don't expect to see any big deals before the season starts, but once the Blackhawks start losing and are completely out of it before the trade deadline, get ready, because there's going to be a bidding war to a couple of Blackhawks' legends.
