NHL Rumors: Boston Bruins To Sign Forward Shortly
According to Steve Conroy, Pavel Zacha's agent, Darren Ferris, texted him saying that a new contract between the forward and Bruins "should be completed in short order."
The Bruins acquired Zacha right before the first day of free agency began from the Devils in exchange for Erik Haula. Zacha filed for arbitration earlier this month, but given this development, he and the Bruins may avoid a hearing after all.
Zacha is expected to be a part of the Bruins' top nine this season. In 70 games during the 2021-22 campaign, he scored 15 goals and recorded a career-high 36 points. Let's see how this kind of year ends up paying him from here.
