NHL Rumors: Hurricanes Defenseman Heading To Flyers
According to Pierre LeBrun, there's a "decent chance" that the Hurricanes trade Tony DeAngelo. Darren Dreger also responded to the report by stating that there are "rumblings" that the Flyers are the team expected to land him. Elliotte Friedman also noted that they are working on a trade.

DeAngelo is a RFA, and the Hurricanes have already allowed him to speak with other teams. If the Flyers do in fact land him, it would make sense on a personal level. During his childhood, DeAngelo was a fan of the Flyers and grew up near the area.A couple of teams who were in on Tony DeAngelo say they are out and believe player will go to PHI. Sounds like Flyers/Hurricanes working on it.

The Flyers have made it known that they are looking to have a big summer, and adding DeAngelo would be a great start to it. We will have to wait and see if Dreger's report comes to fruition from here.
