NHL Rumors: Jets Linked To Avalanche Winger

According to The Fourth Period, the Jets are expressing interest in pending UFA Valeri Nichushkin.

Nichushkin is viewed as one of the top pending UFAs in this year's market. The 27-year-old put together a very strong campaign, as he had 25 goals and 52 points in 62 games. With that, he also recorded 15 points in 20 postseason games. His strong two-way play will make an abundance of teams try to sign, and now the Jets are set to be one of them.

With Winnipeg having a very disappointing 2021-22 season, it makes sense that they are looking to make some changes to their group. Adding a player and winner like Nichushkin would certainly be a good way to try to help things turn around.
